Exceptional condition bronze trinket tray with beautiful workmanship of a French trader galleon. The piece is named: Nef de Jacques Coeur 1440. Jacques Coeur (1395-1456) was a French trader and diplomat and financier of King Charles VII in 1440.

 

The tray is signed Max Le Verrier (1891-1973), a French sculptor known as a pioneer within the Parisian Art Deco movement, creating decorative art objects often made in bronze as well as historical sculptures.
